Dennis James Amadio, 70, died peacefully at home with his family by his side on August 9th, 2017.
Dennis was born to Charles and Hazel (Bochman) Amadio on January 23, 1947. He attended Casper schools and graduated NCHS in 1965. He went on to the University of Wyoming where he earned a BS degree and then served four years in the army.
Dennis and Nicolette Pfau were married on August 29th, 1980. Together they began a beautiful life. Dennis worked for Mountain Bell as a data technician for many years until he retired from Quest Communications. Nothing in Dennis' life was more important than his family and for all of his adult life he put his family first and his own wants and desires last. Dennis loved Wyoming and was fortunate enough to have hiked and hunted large portions of the state during his lifetime. He was fascinated with out solar system and enjoyed watching the night sky. He always contemplated what might be beyond what he could not see. His family feels blessed and honored to have had him in their lives.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Chuck Amadio. He is survived by his wife Nicolette, daughters Ivy Heinze (husband Dan), Holly Schumacher (husband Ed), son Derek Amadio (wife Cassie), his sister Lou Ann Miller (husband Bardo), brother Paul Amadio (wife Tracy). He will continue to be loved by his grandchildren, Rose, Ireland, Hunter and Bella Heinze, Elizabeth and William Shumacher and Emily Amadio.
The family would like to thank with joyful gratitude the doctors and staff of the Norton Thoracic Lung Transplant Clinic as well as the staff on the seventh tower at St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix Arizona.
